What a high.

Ok. I cannot talk enough about my delivery. The best way to describe it is a natural high. I've never done drugs, but I would seriously imagine it being close to that high. I'm having withdrawls from it. I think about it wayyy too much. Plus the whole anticipation of her coming was amazing too. I loved that anxiousness. I even laid in bed last night and asked Dan when we should start up fertility treatments again :) It'll be sooner than we originally planned....
But we are enjoying Brynlee right now and she's the center of our attention of course. She's such a doll.

"She's Wild"

Pregnant friends

When I was pregnant, I had 7 friends that were pregnant with me, and I was the second to last to give birth.
Now I have 8 friends ( and one cousin )that are pregnant...one even with twins :)
Definately a baby boom time, what fun it is! Makes me wanna do it again.

Brynlee is still doing good. She smiles and talks to us more than ever before now, she cant even make it through a bottle without stopping half way and telling us what's going on in her little life. So fun. She is less cranky ( althought she has cranky times still but not like before..) and still goin strong at 6 hours every night. She discovered her thumb while in her crib, so that helps to soothe herself. She follows us around the room with her eyes, and she discovered our cat Penny the other night. So funny.
She loves loves bath time, we are doing this like every other day ( otherwise her skin just dries out ). And I swear to you she'll be walking before she's a year old, her legs are amazingly strong. Her pediatrician just goes on and on about how impressed he is with her. I'm excited to show him all her new little developments in 2 weeks.

Change

Well, the last 3 nights, Brynlee has slept 6.5 hours at night. We gave her a stricter schedule that works for us, and works for her now. Here's some other things we changed:

Propped her mattress up, and sleeps on her tummy
Soy Formula, stretching out the time between meals by 1/2 hour
Tried "sleep sacks" instead of footed PJ's, she seems to be cooler in them
Putting her down awake, letting her fuss til she falls asleep ( but I dont let her scream because her
reflux still bothers her a bit at times )
And just getting her out of the house does wonders

I am soo happy that it's been nice out. We went to the ocean on Saturday and were outside quite a bit, and I'm excited to start walking with her now that it's warming up and she's a little older.
So that's what's new with us! Looking forward to warmer weather big time.

We are praying for the Lord to just guide us in the coming months with decisions that need to be made reguarding housing for us. We just dont know what we should do ( buy vs rent ) but we know we cant stay here, as it's wasting money and too small.
Also praying that God guides Dan, as he looks into possible new ventures in nursing, looking for new opportunities and moving up.
So we look forward to this new year, new possibilities and loving every minute with Bryn.

*Congrats to Kristin on her pregnancy..yippee!!*

We are good

We are doing good! No more staying up til 5,6am with Brynlee. We've got her more on a schedule now, and I'm letting her cry it out more ( thanks Steph..)
She's been eating half milk based formula and half soy and I think it's really helped her reflux. She doesnt fuss so much, and eats less. We were going to go full out soy diet, but I HATE the way it smells, and this seems to be working. I'll be calling Dr. Grubb to see what he thinks is best.
So far we're only spending $10 a week on diapers, and $11 a week on formula. She just moved up a size in diapers *sigh* that was hard for me. She is soo smiley all the time and loves to talk. We have this stuffed zebra that she seems to like alot, she talks to it anytime it's around. I'll post pics soon.
Well that is what's new. She's 5 weeks old already...I'll be sending out Birth announcements this next week.

ONE MONTH

Well Brynlee is one month. She had her checkup with Dr Grubb and everything looked good. He says she cannot grow any faster and is in the 90 percentile for her height and weight. She is 10 lbs 2 oz ( born at 7lbs 13 oz ) and is 22 1/2 inches long ( born at 21 3/4 ).
She does have acid reflux though and it's been a fight. I feel so bad for her, and it only hits in the evenings. We are up with her from midnight til 3am usually, then she sleeps hard for 5 hours.
She is now on Zantac, and she doesnt love taking it...but she did sleep from midnight to 6am, ate, then back to sleep from 6:30am to 11:30. Boy did I love that, especially because it was my first night without Dan! Hopefully this stuff works. I'm sad that it's already a month gone.
