Another Gas Post

Clever, eh?Ok. My jaw dropped when I saw $4.23 gas today on South Hill, when I was still paying $3.89 at Fred Meyer. Even Costco is still under $4.00. I laughed at my dad a few months ago when he said half jokingly, " I bet you we see $5 gas by my birthday" (which is the 4th of July ) I'm not laughing anymore.

What's new?

Sooo lots has been goin on with us lately. We are prequalified for a home, and anxious to find our first home. There are some contenders, and we even made an offer on one. Not going into detail right now, because it's a slow process. But I'm really trying to calm down about the whole deal.
Anyways, Dan is loving Harborview. He even had a couple patients that were on the news this week, so it was cool hearing details about that.
Bryn is doing great! She's been staying up later, til 9ish, which I am loving because I'm not obligated to be home at 7 like before. So now she sleeps in til 8am which I'm loving. Still waiting on this one lil tooth to pop through! She is soo close to sitting up to. Her balance is getting much better.
Me, I'm ok. I've been having severe neck/back pain lately. Pain is normal for me, but this has been unbearable. I dont see my massage therapist til first week of June :( So prayers are needed please!
I've really been focusing on listening to the Lord. Easier said than done! I really want to follow the path He has planned for me, and my own mind and thoughts often get in the way. So I'm much more aware these days. *thanks for the encouragement Tabitha :)*

Memorial Weekend

We had a nice weekend at the Gagnon Cabin. We totally packed for rain, sweatshirts, pants etc. We got there and it turned into a very hot day, like 85. So nice! But so mad we didn't pack properly! We had the sprinkler goin because the lake wasn't full yet, and we had to cool off somehow. Played games outside and hung out by the fire at night. So thankful for being able to do that for a night ( thank you again Bill and Lisa ).

More Woes.

Gas is $4.15 as of 5-22-08 at the Chevron on South Hill Park Drive. Are you kidding me? A 13 cent increase overnight.

Coldplay

It's really late.
If you didn't know, I am a HUGE Coldplay fan. They finally came to WA 2 years ago and it was the best concert I've ever been to. I could probably sing every song word by word. So you can imagine my excitement for their next album, that drops on June 17th.
The album is called "Viva La Vida" and is totally different from any other albums they've done. This one is unique because it has a DRIVE to it, a whole new rhythm that I cannot get enough of. I dont know how you couldnt like this one. The song " Viva La Vida" just does something to me. I seriously have a candle lit by my bed, my headphones on, listening to this song. I couldnt help myself, I got out of bed and started dancing around the house. It's 1:30am. It all ties in with the Bible as well...possibly Jesus, possibly a Roman ruler.. ( it's the song on top of my playlist) Have a listen.

Gas Woes

My week:

Monday: Post Office, Grocery Shopping and Massage Therapy - I got worked big time
Tuesday: Felt like crap ( because of being worked ), caught up on picture albums,Did some MAJOR cleaning in the bedroom,Brynlee was chill
Wednesday: Went with Steph, got a gift for Lesley, went and visited her, went to lunch with Dan, were supposed to meet with mortgage lady, but she cancelled ( boooo ), so I got retail therapy and hit the sale at Express of course, Saw Kara at Ross, Dan works
Thursday: Going away party/babyshower for Erin, Grey's Anatomy Finale, Dan works
Friday: *hopefully* meeting with mortgage consultant
Weekend: Headin to the cabin to get away !!!

I love a full week, I really do!

Season Finales! * no spoilers *

OH. MY. GAH.

My jaw hit the floor several times during the season finale of Desperate Housewives.
I dont even know what to say, other than, boy do they know how to leave us thinking!
I'm dyin here. There are only 3 more seasons left and I dont know what I'll do with my
Sunday nights after that!!
I wont go into details in case you haven't watched it.

Ok, but same goes for "The Office". Talk about a shocker at the end! I love when I can't
predict the ending of things!! It felt so good to laugh REALLY hard.

Next up is the 2 hr season finale of Grey's. Gahhhhhhh

We have been trying to do more "nekkid baby time" lately. It's gotta feel so good to get that diaper off, ya know?

Anyways, I had a very long, tiring week. Dan worked days, so he'd leave at 5am, and get home at 8:30pm then go to sleep before 10 and do it all over again. So it was basically Bryn and I. I haven't been sleeping well ( story of my life ) and so that definitely did not help.
Dan starts his night shift on Monday though, can't wait. He is the youngest employee at Harborview ER :) and one of the doctors who has been there for a while, and has traveled, said that Dan is going to do really well here, and has made an impression already. I'm just way excited to hear some trauma stories ( that sounds so bad )

Mother's Day

Happy ( belated ) Mother's Day to all my momma friends :)
I spent the day with my fam after church. Had lunch at the 'rents house and had a lazy day. Later took a drive looking at houses. Mom got Geraniums to plant and 2 big hanging flower baskets for her house and a dvd I made from an old VHS of family Christmas' with her dad. I got a gift card from my sis and another one from Dan and Brynlee, so nice! And Steph gave me cute pink daisies and took these awesome pics of Bryn and I at church ( thank you! )
I am just so blessed to be a mom. I am reminded on a daily basis. It's just the best.

Congrats to my friend Leah! Who had her twins, Tate and Grace !! So fun! ( they are BEAUTIFUL like their momma )

Brynlee finally is rolling over. She just decided to do it one morning. Stomach to back. It's so funny. I have a video of it, i'll post later. But, now she wakes up in the night from doing it...

New

Today was Brynlee's 4 month checkup. I brought my mom along because Dan is training at Harborview and Bryn had 4 shots to get. She was very very good, even smiling at Dr. Grubb. Of course the shots came and she showed off her pipes so the whole dang office could hear :(
Anyways, she is 14lbs and 25 3/4 inches long. She does indeed have my height ( she's in the top 90 percentile ) He said we could start solids like cereal if we want, but I think we'll wait another couple of months. She is content with her formula at the moment! ( and as Dr. Grubb says, "don't poke a skunk!" )
Dan is SO anxious to actually start working. He got his UW HuskyCard and He's been training during the day up at Harborview and it's super boring. Lots of paperwork. He get to actually work next week, he cannot wait. We are excited for the new benefits too. I think one of the best ones is that he gets 6 free college credits per quarter!! Including UW. My husband LOVES to learn. He is the freak that enjoyed every minute of school. ( yuck, to me ) So this may open up even more opportunities for him in the future. I cant wait to see what he can, and will do.
As for me, I've been having some changes in health issues that I know will be for the better. I've got quite a few baby showers and baby birthdays comin up that I'm lookin forward to! Plus Mothers Day, Jay's birthday and Dan's parents coming out in early June.

Vegas

We had a blast. Lots of walking, lots of sunshine and some good laughs :)
We upgraded to a Fountain view at the Bellagio, and also upgraded to a red convertible mustang. So fun!!
I HATED coming back to this ridiculous weather!!!

4 months

My little girl is 4 months old. I can hardly believe it!
She is definately in the early stages of teething. She has some feverish mood swings, along with plenty of drool ( we go through several bibs a day ) and her gums are looking puffy :)
She really wants to sit up. I am waiting for her to roll over any day now. That'll be fun!
You can tell she is a bit shy. She'll smile at you and then quickly look down or away while still smiling, but then look back at you.
She has her 4 month appt this week so I'm anxious to see her length/weight because I swear she is longer than most babies her age.

I've been gone in Vegas ( I'll post about that later ) and I never want to be away from her that long again. It was REALLY hard for me to just suck it up and not think about missing her. Dan did a fab job though, and my mom got to spend lots of time with her too. I even came home to a perfectly clean home. No laundry. No dishes to do. Bed was made. Awesome.

I'm too lazy to post pics right now, but I'll get some up of Vegas and new ones of Brynlee :)
