Brynlee my 1.5 yr old

I never update this!

Bryn is almost 19 months now.

She has been slow to say actual words, but we know she knows them. Lately she's said "George" "Jay" "Suz" "whats that?" "rock"

She's been swimming up a storm. I have one of those buoy suits for her, and she goes off on her own. She's a daredevil, from Leavenworth pool, to Entiat, to our pool, to Lake Cushman ( jumping off the boat! ) She's daredevil and fearless.

She is randomly signing "more" and "eat" all of a sudden ( we havent shown her those signs in like 8 months )

She doesnt like her hands to be dirty
Still sucking thumb
Went potty on the toilet a few times so far
Still getting into the cat food
She looves music and will stop to any music that comes on so she can dance.
Discovering cartoons
She likes having a job to do.
Makes monkey and monster noises.
Has a large appetite for strawberries.
If given the choice, she'd choose steak over chicken.
She loves eating peppers/rice/meat/onions in a mix
Her hair is strawberry blonde.
She's into all her 2t clothes ( she's off the charts tall )
We introduced flax seed into all our diets ( dr's orders )
She LOVES slides, and is also fearless at parks/playgrounds
She goes to bed without a fuss. I simply ask her if she wants to go nigh nigh and she nods yes and heads upstairs with blankie and milo monkey

ok that's all. it's 100 degrees out and we must hit the pool.

( FYI I could care less if anyone is reading this blog, I'm doing it for a journal kinda deal other than writing it down too )

So Bryn cracks me up. But what's funnier, is she has conversations with herself and laughs at herself. She's such a little person. I cannot wait til she starts saying real words.

She also thinks its so funny to burp or fart which is actually rare. But today she ripped one, looked at me and started laughing. I love it.

She is my little follower. She doesnt usually stay in a room by herself. She'll pick up a toy and wander around behind me.

She loves peas and carrots and rice together. And spicy food. She loooved chicken kabobs with sweet peppers/pineapple/chicken/onion we grilled.

She mostly wears 18-24 clothes, she's long. Size 5 shoes. She's got 4 molars ( i think ) and has a big toothy smile.

Back to School!

I'm gonna be a doula!!! I'm FINALLY registered for classes at Seattle Midwifery, and I start in May. I'm soo thrilled. It feels soo good to follow what God has called me to do! After I finish classes I'll be applying to UW medical center's program for Doula's so I can volunteer and find my groundings...and get lots of experiences. ( higher risk pregnancies go there often ) So that is my prayer. I can't wait to dive in :)

Be blessed!

I say things how they are. I do not sugar coat often.
Obviously I am sensitive in certain situations.
But more and more I find myself surrounded by people
that so often guard what they say, which turns me off.
Why not say what you need to say? Where has the true
honesty gone in this world??

Updates

So it's obviously been a looong time since I blogged. So much has happened since November I wont even try to update. Seriously it's been a rollercoaster. So lets focus on the things that make me happy. Here we go.

Brynlee: She's so funny. She finally has a good sense of humor. She loves to climb, sings/hums to herself, play with her Monkey Milo, She knows alot of words when we say them like "outside, bath, diaper, upstairs,Penny the cat, food, drink, milk, Nigh Nigh, hot, book" are just a few. She's 13 months, 22 lbs and 31 inches long. She's onto Whole milk, ditchin the bottles. She's getting 4 molars in right now. She can tell me when she's got a poopy diaper ( we've made a "yucky sound" every since she was brand new and she's caught on.) She LOVES swings and slides. Dan and I have taken her to a couple different malls/playgrounds and it's so fun to watch. When she sees another "little person" she goes and either beeps their nose, or tries to kiss/hug them. We went to a storytime group today at the library and she just wanted to go up to the other kids. She even kissed a stranger ( lil boy 18 months ) at Subway. Tsk Tsk.
But overall, she is a fantastic kiddo, couldnt ask for a better daughter, really.

Dan's car died 2 months ago, so we just bought a Ford Expedition and I'm in love with it, great SUV. I'm focusing on things that bring me joy so I'm back to decorating and finishing up little projects around the house. We were able to lock in at 5% in this crazy economy so we feel blessed right now. I'm still thinking of going back to school to be a doula. Just dont know when yet! But I truly know it's what I want to do. I WANT to be in delivery rooms. I know God is calling me to do it.I'm also at the gym all the time now. I have a good trainer too. I've lost a pound a week so far..
Dan is doin great at work, of course. So great, that they gave him an intern to work under him. We are headed to Minnesota in April to visit fam.

We cannot wait til Spring/Summer. Lots of fun projects on the house to start and just cant wait to be outside and see green!
