Progress

Since my weigh-in on Tuesday ( today is friday ) I have lost 5lbs. Uh what?

Instead of 1500 calories, I'm down to 1100, back on all my vitamins and supps and working out. Talk about a good start. I stepped on the scale 3 times this morning just to make sure it wasnt a fluke. Nope, 5 lbs is right. To reach my goal of 50 in 90 days ..I have to do this every week. Oye.

Yesterday was the hardest day yet though. Between new supplements, a piece of toast for breakfast ( not enough ) little water and a very hard training session right off the bat, it was bad. Bad bad. I was dry heaving 5 minutes in, felt like i was breathing through a straw, and uber dizzy. I was in tears because I was frustrated and felt so much pain. From a workout I've done before, and made it through.

My meals are boring, but it's clean eating. I'll rotate between about 8 meals for 90 days. Sorry if I'm repeating myself, I dont read my old posts.

I'm on the committee for my 10yr reunion, I'm heading up an estate sale in March, Wedding Coordinator in July, a possible doula birth in the spring...lots coming up. In other words, lots of distractions. So it's day to day for me. Resetting my brain every morning to focus on the task at hand! :)

1/24/12 Day 1

The biggest loser kickoff is tonight. I had my measurements taken this morning, and I was quite pleased.

In 3 months:

I lost 5 inches in my HIPS. Praise Jesus.
5 inches in my waist. YAY!
2.5 Inches in my chest. Sad about this one.
1.5 inches in my thighs. Is that all?
and 6% body fat. Hooray!

So I'm off to a good start.
When I signed up for the gym at the end of sept, training in october, my goal that we wrote down was to be at 199 lbs.
Today my goal is to be at 175. Hefty goal. So I'm going to get as close as I can to that. Dan's on board, which makes a world of difference. We are also not eating out til March, to fatten up our wallets and skinny up our waistlines.

1/22

For those of you who dont read my other blog, I thought I'd share pics of the quilt that I had Barbara Malm from Etsy make me. I had  blogged about wanting to have one made of some of Bryn's 0-12 clothes, so I did it. It was marvelous. To see all the pics and info, go to www.youpaidmorethanme.blogspot.com!

Moving on.
CD3 today and I'm in incredible pain. My cramps were wicked yesterday, and today the back pain is excruciating. Standing or laying flat is nearly impossible. It's like the older I get the more back pain is hand in hand with my period. *sigh*
2 days til my biggest loser kickoff. I've eaten poorly and havent exercised more than twice a week for over a month now but have managed to maintain. I notice a huge difference in my headaches ( increasing ) and energy is way way down ( have to nap ) so its yet again, a good reminder as to why I need to lose the weight and work out, so I dont feel this way. Pretty simple.
Thanks all for your sweet words and wonderful continued support. On my lousy days I go back and read your comments, I so thank you :)

Speak to me Lord, for your child is here. Listening.

Ello.

Weight Loss:
This weekend, I ate sloppy. Didnt take my vitamins. Had only 3 workouts ( one in which I had to quit because I pulled my hamstring, oh joy ) Mentally I've checked out for a bit, lost my focus the last couple weeks. Lost momentum and steam, and I'm fully aware. I'm honest and upfront with my trainer. I'll snap out of it. Biggest Loser starts the 24th. That's my weigh-in. It's the 90 day challenge, a month longer than their usual.
I am, feeling much leaner. I'm nearly out of 2 jean sizes, but not quite ready to move down another :)

Bryn:
On the 4th, Bryn turned 4. I woke up with a headache and cried most of the morning. Not to sound overly dramatic. It was tough for me! Four years? I told myself I wouldnt be THAT mom that got all emotional over birthdays, but it gets harder and harder. It's also a reminder of how long we've been trying to get pregnant and how much bigger the gap in age would be between Bryn and a sibling.
She's a happy, funny, COMPASSIONATE, 4 year old and she continues to crack us up. And she's a reminder of how lucky ( blessed ) we are to have her. Miracle baby.

Fertility:
I've had a few people recently ask me what the plan is for this year and fertility and us. We, do not have a plan. Other than me losing lots and lots more weight and saving saving saving, just in case the Lord tells us to continue with treatments. I'm all ears to his plans. My only, pure desire, is to listen to Him. We want to find peace in knowing the Lord's plan is much MUCH greater than ours..and that is where we are at. Right where our God wants us. Vulnerable, listening, and trusting in Him. Tougher said than done my friends, and it's a daily lesson. Being in check, being present, and waiting.

Praying for BIG things in 2012. No more putting God in a box.
