Tuesday's Ten

1. I joined the gym w/ steph and deanna
2. I get to have a playdate with Alicia and Jaxon tomorrow AND meet Keren finally!
3. Brynlee says "hey" and "ya" these days
4. I had a massage today, but it was more therapy than anything
5. MOPS starts Thursday
6. I've made another new friend this week online, and she needs lots of prayer for her marriage and her baby
7. Is going to vow to eat protein for breakfast for 2 weeks straight to see a change
8. I just made $88 on ebay! love that
9. I can't wait til this election is over
10. My next big project is Brynlee's new nursery! I haven't done anything to it!

September

Hey all! I'm loving me some September. There's nothing better than a crisp, windy day to me. Love it. To top it off all my fall shows are back!

Updates on Bryn:
*she stands for bits at a time, then realizes she's standing and sits down
*she has this new smile, and she scrunches her nose and shows us her teeth.
*speaking of teeth, she has 5 all the way out and 2 more ready to poke through
*when she hears music, she smiles and claps
* her little world stops when I sing to her
*she will eat anything

Updates on Dan:
*still loves his job at Harborview. Very intense, but he LOVES to learn and be stretched in that way
*he's been having some back pain lately ( from lifting patients and being on his feet alot ) so we are trying to take care of that
*he's still always looking for new adventures in the medical field. I think we both will be signing up for the Red Cross relief programs through Harborview ( go out when natural disasters or other massive traumas hit around the US )

Updates on me:
*I joined the gym and work out with Steph W and Deanna B..very fun :) and we've been enjoying Zumba class
* I'm still having fun decorating the house
* I'm currently deciding what my next venture will be. I want to challenge myself and figure out how to further my passions.
* I've really really enjoyed connecting with old and new girl pals. It's very refreshing.
* Ready for MOPS to start up!

Pray for Carol Decker and her family, of Seattle.
She had her baby in June, and after extreme complications after a c-section delivery,
doctors had to amputate one arm, both legs and a finger. She is now blind on top of that...among
other problems like liver failure.
Pray hard!!

Uh Oh

Well I feared this day.
We have a door leading to the stairs, it has always been open because she's "not old enough" to climb upstairs.
Well I underestimated her, I can no longer assume that just because she's 8 months, she wont do it, because she will.
She made it up about 8 stairs ( i'm guessing, because that's where the slobber was, they are wood ) and fell all the way down. It was the most horrific sound, I cant even tell you. She hit one of her teeth that was coming in and it bled and bled. Just awful. I seriously just could not believe it, I mean, this is my baby!! So after I got her calmed down and good i stood at the top of the stairs as bait and Dan followed her up. Sure enough she was little speedy and crawled her way up. Amazing.
Needless to say, that door will now be shut. Always.

Bryn's 8 months!

8 months. Can you believe it? I cant.

Brynlee is:

learning to stand on her own..
moves from furniture piece to furniture piece..
crawling of course..
clapping..
workin on her 4th tooth..
waving hello and goodbye..
eating lots..

She's so fun these days. We took her to the fair today,where she pet the animals and loved that. But it was too hot and nap time, so it didn't last long. We'll go back in the evening one of these nights. Pics to come...now that I got my laptop back ( 4 weeks and $340 later...UHG ) I am able to blog and be normal again !! I have my mind back!

Recipe Challenge.

I am in serious need of new easy recipes. I'm not one to open an recipe book and pick one out, I'd rather make something that you really like.
Sooo do me a favor? Comment on this post with your standby's and family favorites that are easy to make. I'd LOVE LOVE it. Renae-your apricot chicken is still a hit in my home :) And Steph, I could live on your crockpot roast recipe. Yum.
